West Ham United face Wolves pressure over new Max Kilman transfer offer
West Ham United are set to decide whether or not to submit a new offer for Max Kilman with Wolves putting pressure on them, according to Jack Rosser.
The Hammers are weighing up their options in the transfer window, with The Sun journalist reporting (2 July) that a “decision is now being made”.
Talks are said to be ongoing with the Midlands outfit over the centre-back, with Wolves said to be “putting pressure” on West Ham to make a new offer this week.
The development comes amid reports that United have had a £29million-plus bid rejected by Nice for Jean-Clair Todibo [Florian Plettenberg, 2 July].
West Ham United remain interested in Max Kilman
Tim Steidten must now decide if the fee that is being demanded by Wolves is in the region that he wants to spend.
The 27-year-old is a favourite of Julen Lopetegui and it is clear that the Spaniard wants to reunite with his former star.
Kilman could prove to be an excellent addition to the Hammers’ back-line, although his fee and age may prove to be a concern.
West Ham need a centre-back or two this summer given that Angelo Ogbonna has left and Nayef Aguerd has been linked with a move away.
The Englishman would be a useful addition and will undoubtedly strengthen a United defence that struggled for most of last season.
It is exciting to see what Steidten and Lopetegui will look to do with the squad this summer as a new era at the London Stadium gets underway.
Hammers fans will have to wait and see what the club decide to do as the transfer window continues.
