West Ham would secure transfer coup if they sign Samu Omorodion

West Ham’s pursuit of Omorodion illustrates the club’s ambition as they enter a new era with Tim Steidten leading on transfer business.

Omorodion is still only 20 and touted for a huge career, having hugely impressed during a loan at Alaves.

Atletico have yet to give a proper chance to the forward, who is currently a Spanish U21 international but also eligible for the senior Nigeria national team.

Omorodion is clearly tempted by the Premier League interest, having recently changed agents as his camp seek the best deal for both his present situation and the future of his career.

The Hammers have not been shy in this window following their signing of Luis Guilherme for £25million, and are looking to establish themselves as a top-six side with young talent on their radar.

In other West Ham news, the club have been quoted a £50m price tag for a popular Premier League defender.
