West Ham United: Fabrizio Romano drops ‘Concrete’ update on Danny Ings exit at London Stadium on Sunday morning
It is a “concrete possibility” for Danny Ings to quit West Ham in the January transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Writing via his Daily Briefing on Sunday (17 December), Romano reported that while Ings, 31, will more than likely leave the London Stadium, it’s still too soon to say where he’s going to go.
Ings hasn’t scored all season for the Irons and Romano doesn’t know of any clubs who are readying a move to sign the former Liverpool and Burnley striker.

“Although leaving West Ham in January is a concrete possibility, it is still too early to talk about where he could move to,” Romano said.
“I am not aware of any clubs in particular who are preparing to approach but for sure he is one to watch over the next few weeks.”
Get rid ASAP
Ings has to go in January.
Claret & Hugh reported in May that the striker earns a stupid £125,000-a-week on his contract at the London Stadium despite the fact that he’s barely playing.
That must make him one of the club’s top earners.
But despite his massive pay package, Ings has started just four games all season and amounted just 130 minutes of game time in nine Premier League appearances.
Since joining the Hammers from Aston Villa last January, Ings has only scored three goals in 37 total games. One of them was against Gent in the Conference League last season while the other two came in the same game against Nottingham Forest back in February.
David Sullivan cannot afford to be splashing that kind of cash on Ings when he plays such a bit-part role in East London.
It felt like it made sense at the time to sign him but when you look back with hindsight, it was a pointless signing.
We have better strikers in the Under-21s who are chomping at the bit for a first-team call-up and we’re better off going with that than giving Ings any more game time.
In other West Ham news, Micah Richards named a United player when asked who Aston Villa should be looking to sign in January.
