West Ham United eye last-gasp transfer for Reiss Nelson, Arsenal open to deal

West Ham are seeking a late loan move for Arsenal ace Reiss Nelson, according to Alex Crook.

The journalist reported via talkSPORT’s live transfer blog [30 August, 8:34pm] that the Hammers and Fulham are both eager to strike a deal.

Arsenal will allow Nelson to depart in a last-gasp exit if they strike a deal of their own with Chelsea for Raheem Sterling.

West Ham United could yet sign one more player

This link with Arsenal ace Nelson has come out of the blue, especially when you consider the number of attacking options already available to Julen Lopetegui.

Ultimately, though, if a player becomes available late in the window, the Irons have every right to explore the deal.

It sounds as though a few other clubs may be interested, though, including Fulham, and time is not on West Ham’s side.

Nelson has not played all that much of late but he is well liked by Arsenal fans and they would likely be upset to see him leave for a nearby side.

Given there are only two hours of the window left to go, this may well be the final chance to sign one more player.

Here’s hoping Tim Steidten can work his magic and conclude a deal with the Gunners.
