West Ham United eye ‘in demand’ Kristjan Asllani, Inter exit on cards
West Ham United are interested in Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani, according to InterLive.it.
The news outlet reports (16 January) that the 22-year-old defensive midfielder is in demand, and the Hammers have made their voices heard regarding his signing.
Teams in Serie A are also monitoring the Albanian ace, who the Nerazzurri are open to selling if he fails to make a mark for the rest of the season.
West Ham United transfer target Kristjan Asllani struggling
Edson Alvarez hasn’t been at his best this season, and fans are now seemingly contemplating getting rid of the midfielder, who was a standout performer in his debut campaign at the club.
The Mexican has looked a shadow of his former self, and whether the East London club will indeed cut ties with him remains to be seen.
Guido Rodriguez has also failed to settle in the Premier League, with the World Cup winner starting twice in the Hammers’ past 10 top-flight fixtures.
One positive during Graham Potter’s short tenure has been Carlos Soler’s emergence who is on loan at the London Stadium from Paris Saint-Germain.
West Ham will understandably need to bolster their number six position in the coming months, but Asllani doesn’t look like the best option.

The 22-year-old arrived at Inter with massive expectations, and there was hope that he would thrive at the Serie A club.
Despite having a couple of seasons to bed in at the Italian giants, the Albanian midfielder has failed to establish himself in Simone Inzaghi’s plans.
If Alvarez and Rodriguez were to leave, the East London outfit would need someone of much higher quality to bolster its engine room.
With Asllani struggling himself, the Hammers should stay away from a transfer for now.
In other West Ham news, a transfer twist has emerged regarding James McAtee as Manchester City open to a sale.
