West Ham United eye double-swoop as Gianluca Scamacca and Filip Kostic share same agent
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Gianluca Scamacca and Filip Kostic both share the same the same agent as West Ham work to bring both players to the London Stadium.
Revelo journalist Matteo Moretto revealed on Friday (22 July) that the Hammers are about to finalise a deal to bring Scamacca to the club.
The Irons are also working to bring Eintracht Frankfurt wing-back Kostic to East London this summer, as first reported by The Sun earlier the same day.
Romano, who writes for The Guardian wrote on Twitter: “West Ham are working on both Filip Kostic and Gianluca Scamacca deals as they share the same agent.
“Talks ongoing, bid submitted – waiting to reach agreements.”
The Italian journalist also suggested that a bid is still on the table to Armando Broja with a move for the Chelsea striker on “standby”.
Ramping the business up
Kostic supplying Scamacca is a pretty exciting thought for the London Stadium faithful to contemplate as the Premier League season edges closer.
The Serbian wing-back could ease David Moyes’ left-back concerns and also give the Hammers the ability to play a variety of formations due to his attacking prowess.
Scamacca would be a major coup for Moyes, with a number of European clubs monitoring his situation after the 23-year-old scored 16 goals in Seria A in the 2021/22 season.

Doubts obviously remain over the Hammers’ move for the Broja, with Chelsea reluctant to let the 20-year-old striker leave Stamford Bridge at present.
West Ham fans should certainly expect at least a couple of signings to be made over the next few weeks with talks progressing on a number of targets.
If the Hammers can secure a deal for a striker, as well as a left-back and potentially another central midfield player then the club could consider it a job well done for this window.
