West Ham United deem Manchester City bid for Declan Rice ‘completely unacceptable’ – ExWHUEmployee
West Ham United have deemed Manchester City’s opening bid to sign Declan Rice “completely unacceptable’, according to ExWHUEmployee.
After Arsenal had two bids rebuffed by the Hammers, the Premier League champions tabled an offer of £80million plus £10million in bonuses on Tuesday (27 June).
This fell below West Ham’s original valuation of £100million and was swiftly rejected, with a bidding war now expected to emerge.

Via his Patreon account, ExWHUEmployee wrote: “We can confirm that the bid has been rejected.
“The offer was deemed completely unacceptable by West Ham according to very well-placed sources. The club are anticipating a third offer from Arsenal.”

Always expected
This first bid was a little strange when considering it was exactly the same amount as Arsenal lodged last week, just with differences in the instalments and bonus structure.
The Hammers have said time and again that it will take £100million for them to sanction Rice’s exit this summer, and it seems like they will stay true to their word.
Both Arsenal and Manchester City will have to buck up their ideas if they really want to take the England international this summer, as they remain quite a way off the club’s original valuation.
David Moyes will be hoping for a speedy resolution to this transfer saga so he can finalise his plans and transfer targets for the rest of the transfer window.
Right now, the Scottish manager has no idea what kind of money he will be playing with and, therefore, the calibre of players he can target. There is also the option that a player could be included in the Rice deal, which again, could alter the summer transfer activity of West Ham United.
