West Ham United deal on the cards to sign Norwegian striker Egeli, ‘goodbye’ likely

West Ham United have been mooted as a potential destination for Nordsjaelland winger Sindre Walle Egeli by Tom Collomosse.

The journalist reported via The Daily Mail website that Egeli is “likely to be waving goodbye” to Nordsjaelland at the end of the season.

While Newcastle have been keeping tabs on the 18-year-old, West Ham, as well as Crystal Palace, could also pursue him.

Sindre Walle Egeli will be an exciting addition to West Ham United

Nordsjaelland have a reputation for developing exciting players and Egeli will likely be the latest to secure a big-money move away from the Norwegian club.

It appears that several clubs will be interested in the left-footed winger and signing him would therefore a massive coup for the East London outfit.

Signing Egeli would also make sense for the Hammers, with Mohammed Kudus linked with a move away from the London Stadium.

Having attracted interest from Newcastle last summer [Northern Echo, 9 July], Jarrod Bowen’s long-term future at the club is also by no means certain.

Egeli’s ability to play across the front three also makes him an interesting target for the Irons, whose all three centre-forwards are in their 30s.

Egeli has scored five goals and provided two assists in 16 appearances across all competitions for Nordsjaelland so far and made his debut for Norway as a substitute in their 0-0 draw with Kazakhstan last month.

However, the teenager is contracted to his current employers until 2028, having put pen to paper on a new deal in August.

In other West Ham news, this seven-figure sensation could also be on his way to the London Stadium.
