West Ham United could ready multi-million bid for Filip Kostic transfer now

West Ham could offer Juventus the £8.4million they want for Filip Kostic this summer, according to TuttoJuve.

The Italian outlet has reported that fellow Premier League side Everton are also in the race for the Serbian international during this window.

Turkish clubs are also said to be interested with Kostic set to leave Italy for a modest price between now and the end of August.

Why Filip Kostic is needed by West Ham

The Serbia international has been a part of Juventus’ first team since arriving at the club in August 2022 where he signed a four-year deal.

Since then, he has played a total of 87 times and has managed to involve himself with 18 goals.

15 of them have come as assists for his teammates which outlines how strong of a teammate he is.

Although he predominantly plays on the left wing, across his career, the 31-year-old has played in the middle, on the right, and even as a striker on occasion.

Within their ranks, West Ham already have the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.

But, outside of these two, they don’t have any real quality on the wings. Hence why, someone with the experience of Kostic could be an ideal acquisition for the club to help add depth to the squad.

It would also enable Julen Lopetegui to move Bowen or Kudus further up front to make the most out of their finishing ability.

His ability to play on either wing or even as a striker gives the Hammers the ability to change up their tactics if and when needed.

Additionally, it’s clear that he has a strong ability to assist his teammates and could provide the forward line with more opportunities and potentially get the best out of Danny Ings or Michail Antonio once again.

In other West Ham news, Luis Guilherme has landed in England ahead of his medical with the club.
