West Ham United consider loan exit for player amid South American interest
Fluminense and RB Bragantino are eyeing West Ham United centre-back Luizao, with the Hammers open to a potential loan exit this summer, according to UOL.
The Brazilian website reported on Friday (July 12) that both South American clubs have asked about a possible loan deal but haven’t made official offers yet.
Turkish side Antalyaspor are also said to have shown an interest, and United would prioritise a deal with a European club, although they’re listening to all interested parties.
Luizao, who has recently recovered from a fibula injury, is yet to feature for West Ham’s first team and spent last season with the U21 squad.
West Ham United want to keep Luizao close as he develops
West Ham are keen on keeping Luizao close as he develops, and it’s easy to see why. The young centre-back has shown promise, and they want to keep a watchful eye on his progress.
Sending him off to a European club makes it easier to track his development and integrate him back into the team if he impresses – although that will be dependent on any recall clauses in his contract.
But here’s the thing: if no good European offers come in, West Ham might consider letting Luizao go to Brazil.

They want what’s best for his growth and their investment. Fluminense and RB Bragantino are interested, and if it means Luizao gets valuable game time and experience, the Hammers might just take that leap.
Keeping him close is the priority, but they won’t shut the door on opportunities for the 22-year-old, who is now at an age where he needs to be playing.
