West Ham United confident of completing Mohammed Kudus deal today
West Ham are confident that they will complete a deal to sign Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus on Friday (25 August), according to Graeme Bailey.
The 90min journalist tweeted on 25 August that the Hammers’ technical director Tim Steidten was in Bulgaria on Thursday (24 August) to meet with the Dutch club’s hierarchy and finalise terms for the Ghanaian international.
He said the 23-year-old has been one of the German director’s primary targets as he looks to try and bring different, younger players to the Irons this summer.
Huge boost
If West Ham can complete the signing of Kudus on Friday, that would provide everyone associated with the club with a huge boost heading into the weekend.
The Hammers will, however, not be able to call upon the forward for the game at Brighton on Saturday (26 August) because he won’t be registered by the deadline for new signings.
Tim Steidten will be delighted to be edging closer to securing one of his main targets as a key part of his mandate has been to bring in younger talents from across Europe.

David Moyes will also be pleased to be bringing in another attacking player as he looks to add more goals to his side after struggling to find the back of the net last season.
The Ghanaian is arriving in excellent form after registering a hat-trick in what looks likely to be his last game for Ajax in their 4-1 victory over Ludogorets in the Europa League qualifiers on Thursday (24 August).
In other West Ham news, an update has emerged in the club’s pursuit of an international defender.
