West Ham United confident Emerson and Thilo Kehrer deals will be completed this week
West Ham are now “confident” they can sign both Thilo Kehrer and Emerson Palmieri this week, according to a report from The Sun.
They have been negotiation with Paris Saint-Germain for some time over the German international centre-back as they look to solve the lack of fit options in defence, but have only recently entered talks for the Italy left-back.
But after two straight defeats the club feel they can get both in this week and are “hopeful” the duo can be registered by the Friday deadline to get them in the squad for the next game against Brighton.

According to the Sun report Chelsea want £15million for the 28-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Lyon, while the Hammers bid is currently £2million short.
PSG want £16million for their man, who has just a year left and is not part of the manager’s plans, although Dharmesh Sheth reported earlier on Monday (15 August) that the club are moving ahead with a structured deal that would pay just £10.1million up front.
Double-boost
The mood after the unlucky defeat at the City Ground would be lifted significantly if West Ham can get these two deals over the line that quickly.
Kehrer is more important right now, and it has taken long enough in talks with the French champions when they have no use for him any longer.
A much quicker move for Emerson is less pressing right now with Aaron Cresswell in place, but David Moyes has been looking for someone to press the Irons stalwart since he made some high profile errors at the back-end of last season, so it will be a relief to the manager if he can finally get that ticked off.

The club has burst into action as the window enters the final couple of weeks, as the move to fix the centre back issue has been joined by this final push to do the full-back business that came close to completion with Filip Kostic, and a new push for a midfield attacker is on the cards following disappointments on Jesse Lingard and Piotr Zielinski.
Something, which might be as simple as luck, needs to change soon before this season takes on a notably sour flavour from the very beginning.
Once Gianluca Scamacca and Maxwel Cornet are fit enough to start there should be an improvement, because currently Moyes is fielding last season’s side but weakened by defensive injuries.
Better late than never but the transfer window’s previous and upcoming additions need to start bearing fruit quickly.
