West Ham United club source shares ‘99% true’ Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer information
A senior club source said reports that West Ham United are about to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka are “99% true”, according to Sean Whetstone.
The former 6 foot 2 editor took to his official X account on Saturday (10 August) to share the source had confirmed the Manchester United full-back is on the verge of making the move to the London Stadium.
Whetstone reaffirmed previous reports that Wan-Bissaka will hold a medical at the club on Sunday and has agreed a £5.6million pay off with the Red Devils, who are set to agree a £15million fee with the Hammers.
More excellent West Ham business
Only the three relegated clubs conceded more Premier League goals that West Ham last season, something that needs remedying under new boss Julen Lopetegui this season.
Well, you cannot accuse the board of not trying to rectify it. Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo have been brought in to strengthen the Irons at centre-back and now it looks as though right-back reinforcement is on the way in the shape of Wan-Bissaka.
You have to credit the Hammers’ hierarchy and technical director Tim Steidten for the work they have done in the transfer market, with the likes of Luis Guilherme, Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug brought in to improve the forward line.
There are obviously no guarantees that spending sprees result in a huge turnaround of fortunes but the Hammers are giving it a real go to try and impose themselves on the upper reaches of the Premier League and you really have to admire it.
In other West Ham news, only payment terms need sorting to complete a transfer at the London Stadium.
