West Ham United close to Aaron Wan-Bissaka deal with Manchester United as 2 medicals booked
West Ham and Manchester United are close to agreeing a deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka on top of a pair of Hammers medical booked for Saturday 3 August, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports journalist reported via X late on 2 August that the Irons have got Guido Rodriguez coming in for testing after agreeing a free transfer with the Argentina midfielder, while Niclas Fullkrug is also expected in London the same day after a £27.5m deal was struck with Borussia Dortmund.
He had earlier reported via the Sky Sports website on 2 August that Crysencio Summerville has already passed a medical to join from Leeds United, but Old Trafford defender Wan-Bissaka remains on the cards as well.
Sheth wrote of the Englishman: “West Ham still working on finalising agreement with Manchester United for Aaron wan-Bissaka. Fee & structure under discussion. Not far apart. Cautious optimism it gets done.”

It is undoubtedly going to be a major disappointment all round if the long-winded pursuit of Wan-Bissaka falls through at this stage.
Erik ten Hag needs to move the 26-year-old on so he can bring in Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui [Fabrizio Romano, 29 July], who the Hammers also attempted to sign this summer.
Julen Lopetegui needs a new right-back to replace the departed Ben Johnson and he has seen Tim Steidten’s efforts frustrated for the Moroccan international from the Bundesliga and attempts to convince Southampton to part with Kyle Walker-Peters.
Wan-Bissaka himself is said to want to move back to London [Stretty News, 12 July] and it appears he is ready to head to the London Stadium to do so after Florian Plettenberg reported on 1 August a verbal agreement on personal terms had been reached with the right-back.
But with INEOS reportedly insisting on as much as £18million for a player who has less than a year left on his contract and they need to offload the negotiations are proving frustrating.
However, after Steidten engineered a stunning turnaround to line up three quality additions there will be renewed confidence in the German’s ability to reach the desired outcome on a fourth.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers were slammed for attempting a “huge and unnecessary” transfer risk.
