West Ham United battle with eight clubs to sign Ferdi Kadioglu as £29.6m update emerges
West Ham United have been told they must stump up £29.6million if they want to sign Ferdi Kadioglu this summer, according to Fotomac.
Writing on their website (2 July), the Turkish news outlet report that the Fenerbahce left-back has attracted interest from a host of clubs across Europe after shining for the national team at Euro 2024.
The Hammers are joined by Arsenal, Fulham, Wolves, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen, Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund in wanting to sign the 24-year-old.
West Ham tabled a £22m bid in May [AS Marca, 22 May], while Borussia Dortmund have tabled a £21.8m bid, but both were rejected and Fenerbahce have made the decision that they won’t entertain offers for less than €35m (£29.6m).
West Ham United to bolster full-back positions
The full-back areas at the London Stadium are somewhere that the manager will want to strengthen, with Ben Johnson heading to Ipswich at the end of his contract and question marks around the future of Vladimir Coufal and Emerson Palmieri.
Kadioglu has done really well for Turkey as the team reached the knockout stages of Euro 2024, and caught the eye of some of the top clubs across the continent.
But the summer window is expected to be busy and left-back isn’t a position that is particularly in need right now after Aaron Cresswell penned an extension, plus £30million is a big chunk of money.

If Emerson were to move on amid interest from AC Milan then it’s definitely a deal to look at, but there are so many areas of the squad that need more immediate attention.
In an ideal world the money would be there to be able to do all that business, but if it’s one or the other then most fans would likely prefer the squad to be strengthened over that one position.
