‘West Ham United figures jet out’ as Arthur Avom contract decision made
West Ham United are in dire need of a successful transfer window after their poor Premier League campaign.
The Hammers have failed to adjust to life since David Moyes departed the London Stadium last summer, and are set to finish just 17th.
Graham Potter has not had the sort of impact expected of him since replacing Julen Lopetegui and has steered West Ham to just three wins in 15 attempts.
The 49-year-old must oversee a successful transfer window, while the London Stadium club have now set their sights on Lorient’s Arthur Avom.

West Ham scouts have watched Lorient midfielder Avom
Avom has helped Lorient clinch promotion from French Ligue 2 to Ligue 1 with two games to spare, notching two goals and three assists in the process, and his exploits have impressed Potter.

According to The Sun [30 April], the Hammers, as well as Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Chelsea, have regularly sent scouts to watch the 20-year-old this season.
The report adds that Avom’s contract with Lorient expires this summer, but he is in no rush to sign an extension and will listen to all offers before making a decision on his future.
As per the same report, Potter is determined to rebuild his midfield in the transfer window, as West Ham strive to enjoy a more successful season next term.

Avom could be a top signing for West Ham
West Ham are set for a major rebuild throughout the summer transfer window, as Moyes is keen to reunite with midfielder Tomas Soucek at Everton.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus could be set for a big move to the Saudi Pro League, despite scoring just four goals in the Premier League this term.
But with Potter set to lose key players, Avom could be a strong addition, as epitomised by the interest in his services from Champions League chasers Chelsea.
At just 20 years old, the Lorient man boasts plenty of potential, while he has already made two appearances for the Cameroon national side.
Avom is a rising midfield star who has been compared to former Manchester City hero Yaya Toure, and could be ready for the challenge of Premier League football.
After winning the Conference League in 2023, West Ham will be keen to trouble the European spots next season, and the Cameroon international could help Potter’s men in that quest.
