West Ham United: Armando Broja to hold further exit talks with Chelsea

Armando Broja is set to “hold further talks” with Chelsea over his future with West Ham ready to spend big on the 20-year-old striker according to The Daily Mail.

The Athletic revealed on 8 July that the Hammers are ready to spend “big money” on the striker and that Broja had a meeting with Chelsea’s hierarchy on 6 July over his future.

It appears that no decision has been reached as of yet with the Daily Mail suggesting on Sunday 10 July that no decision has been reached and that further talks will take place in the coming days.

Broja has not travelled with Chelsea on their pre-season tour to America as revealed by The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg via his Twitter account on Saturday 9 July.

All on Chelsea

There seems very little doubt that West Ham are more than happy to spend big on Broja should he become available.

The big issue at present is that Chelsea are taking their time in deciding what to do with the striker who spent last season on loan at Southampton.

Thomas Tuchel clearly rates the youngster and obviously has concerns over letting one of the club’s best youth products depart Stamford Bridge this summer.

David Moyes should be moving heaven and earth to secure a deal for the 20-year-old with West Ham desperate to add some more competition for Michail Antonio.

Broja would be a smart addition to West Ham’s front line with the attacker still very young and able to develop further whilst at the London Stadium.

West Ham could have a chance of signing him with Broja potentially inclined to remain in London after growing up in the capital.

It would be hugely beneficial if Chelsea could make their mind up on the Albanian’s future.
