West Ham United and Sassuolo taking ‘other steps’ as Scamacca talks continue
West Ham United and Sassuolo continue to be locked in talks for Gianluca Scamacca with “other steps” taken after the Hammers tabled a bid for the striker according to Gazzetta journalist Alfredo Pedulla.
Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed on 12 July that the Hammers made a £33.7million offer for the 23-year-old.
It has since been reported (via Twitter) by Pedulla on Thursday (14 July) that “other steps” have since been taken after the “turning point” on Tuesday.
Good news
This is good news for West Ham fans to see that negotiations with the Serie A club are seemingly progressing after initially tabling a bid for the striker.
It appears that talks between both clubs should run fairly smoothly and an agreement could well be found for the striker.
The difficulty in this deal appears to be convincing Scamacca to move to London Stadium, with the striker potentially settled in Italy and featuring regularly for the national side.

However, if he moved to the Premier League there is every chance his stock would continue to rise and the 23-year-old would go on to become one of Europe’s best strikers.
Scamacca is said to be having doubts over a move to PSG, with whom he has already agreed on personal terms, due to West Ham’s move for the striker.
The Hammers simply have to convince the striker to move to East London.
David Moyes has needed more competition for Michail Antonio for the best part of two years and bringing one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers to the club would certainly do that.
