West Ham United and Crystal Palace targeted for international striker transfer as talks held

Denis Drăguş’ agent wants to bring the Romanian to the Premier League and has already had “a few discussions” about getting him to West Ham.

Florin Manea, also the representative of Tottenham’s January signing Radu Dragusin, told Fanatik on 11 March that he is aiming to also get the international striker a move to England and he was targeting the Hammers and Crystal Palace as potential destinations.

The 24-year-old has scored two goals for his country from seven caps and his agent believes he has a “high” chance of landing in the Premier League if he performs on the world stage at Euro 2024 in the summer.

Manea said, translated to English: “Drăguş plays well. I would like to, I always talk to him, I want to collaborate with him. I want to help him.

“To take him to a place like the world. I would like to bring him here to England. It has Premier League value, but we are not talking about the top 5. We are talking about a West Ham, a Crystal Palace.

“I think so and we have already had a few discussions. He was also close to Stoke City before going to Gaziantep. The way he prepares now and how he plays, he has a chance.

“He is a player I like a lot. It destabilizes, it started to score. Why shouldn’t he be lucky too? It is also a matter of luck, even if it is also of value.

“Let’s hope, let’s see what happens. The European Championship is decisive for him. If he plays well in Europe, the chances are high that he will come to the Premier League. That’s what I say.”

Tottenham star’s agent wants West Ham to sign Romanian forward

Drăguş is currently on loan from Standard Liege at Gaziantep F.K. and has been in solid goalscoring form this term, with 11 in the Turkish Super Lig.

There is clearly a vacancy in the Irons attack at present after the departure of Gianluca Scamacca in the summer without replacement.

Danny Ings has shown signs of life and rescued a point from the jaws of defeat against bottom side Burnley at the weekend, but has not had a great time of it at the London Stadium.

Michail Antonio’s role as the regular number nine has wained this year with star man and top scorer Jarrod Bowen often used as a false nine, but whether David Moyes stays or goes in the summer it looks like a new striker will be close to the top of the agenda.

By the sounds of things Drăguş will be there for the taking if West Ham want him, but it will likely depend on Tim Steidten’s assessment assuming the German is set to stay himself.
