West Ham United alerted to availability of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in £40m deal – talkSPORT
West Ham United are among the clubs who have been alerted to the availability of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The England international opted to stay at Stamford Bridge last summer following a successful loan move to Crystal Palace, but has struggled to establish himself in west London in a poor campaign for the club.
Now the Chelsea hierarchy are looking to cash in on some players after spending over £600m in the previous two transfer windows, and Gallagher is expected to be allowed to move if someone matches his £40m valuation.

“Gallagher is not believed to have done enough this season to convince the Blues hierarchy that he ill be a part of their long-term plans,” they wrote.
“West Ham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace, where he had a successful loan spell, have all been alerted to the possibility of signing the £40million-rated midfielder.”
Engine
Gallagher did really well when he was at Palace as a goalscoring midfielder driving from deep, using his engine to get from box-to-box.
That skillset is something very similar to what we have grown to love Declan Rice for, and with the skipper likely to leave this summer Gallagher could come in and be a solid replacement.

Obviously he’s not as good as Rice, but few people are, and at £40m he could be brought in alongside someone else like Kalvin Phillips to form a new-look midfield that makes us stronger than we are now.
With the Europa Conference League final to come, transfers are unlikely to be a big priority at the London Stadium over the next week or so, but if he is available then the club would be crazy not to be taking a look.
He has all the skills that we need in a midfielder in the position we’re in and has experience at the highest level while still being young. He ticks all the boxes.
