West Ham transfer round-up: Semedo exit on cards, Petrovic loan ready

Graham Potter could potentially sanction a major squad overhaul at West Ham United this summer transfer window.

The Hammers endured a disappointing season under the English manager, finishing 14th in the Premier League.

While Potter came to the London Stadium mid-way through the campaign after Julen Lopetegui was sacked, better things were expected of him.

With the likes of Guido Rodriguez and Emerson linked with exits from the Irons, it isn’t surprising to see them being linked with a few incoming transfers.

West Ham backed to complete interesting Nelson Semedo transfer

Wolves defender Semedo would be an interesting option for the Hammers this summer, Jeff Stelling says.

The talkSPORT pundit revealed that the 31-year-old has a four-year offer on the table to extend his contract at the Molineux, but he may leave for Saudi Arabia as a free agent.

Stelling has backed the Irons to sign the Portugal international, with the prospect of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and him bombing down the wings at the London Stadium enticing.

Speaking on talkSPORT (13 June), he said: “There’s a four-year offer on the table for him, but I think he may be on his way. Maybe to Saudi Arabia, I’m afraid.

“But I tell you what, West Ham would be an interesting choice. You’d have Wan-Bissaka bombing down one side, Semedo on the other.”

Djordje Petrovic loan transfer mooted at London Stadium after Chelsea snub

Martin Allen has tipped Djordje Petrovic to sign for the Irons on loan after being left out of Chelsea’s Club World Cup squad.

The former Hammer feels the Blues will want the Serbia international, who was Strasbourg’s Player of the Season in the 2024/25 campaign, to leave Stamford Bridge.

Martin wonders whether the East London outfit can afford a permanent transfer or would rather sanction a loan deal for the 25-year-old goalkeeper.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, he said: “They’ll be looking for him to go out on loan or on a permanent deal.

“Whether, at the moment, West Ham can afford a permanent deal or if it will just be a loan for the season with a fee to help Petrovic play in the Premier League and put him in the shop window.”

Manchester United to want Mohammed Kudus transfer once Tottenham hijack Bryan Mbeumo deal

Tottenham are interested in Manchester United target Bryan Mbeumo after appointing Thomas Frank, according to BBC Sport.

The news outlet reports (13 June) that Spurs have joined the race for the 25-year-old Cameroon international after the Red Devils had a bid rejected.

If Ruben Amorim misses out on the Brentford forward, he may turn his attention to Mohammed Kudus at West Ham, with an approach seemingly not out of the question.
