West Ham transfer round-up: Irons told deal can go ahead as Wilson talks begin

West Ham are still yet to make their third new signing of the summer.

The Hammers have confirmed the signings of El Hadji Malick Diouf, who arrived for around £19million from Slavia Prague, and Kyle Walker-Peters, who was available on a free transfer.

But fans are growing restless at the London club’s lack of business since, with the Premier League’s return rapidly approaching.

Graham Potter will hope the coming days bring positive news, however, with the team due to take on Manchester United in the United States on Sunday (27 July).

Here, West Ham News rounds up all the latest transfer stories from the last 24 hours.

The departure of Michail Antonio has seen West Ham linked with a move for a new striker this summer.

The striker left Newcastle United at the end of the season and has suffered from significant injury problems over the last two seasons.

Taremi among West Ham options

Mehdi Taremi has emerged as another potential option up front for West Ham, who could be available on the cheap from Serie A giants Inter.

According to La Gazzeta dello Sport (23 July), the Hammers are admirers of the striker.

Taremi joined Inter last summer on a free transfer after leaving Porto, but has struggled to make an impact in Milan.

Palhinha is ‘exactly what is needed’

Joao Palhinha has emerged as an option for several Premier League clubs this summer with the midfielder looking for a way out of Bayern Munich.

Former Brentford manager Martin Allen exclusively told West Ham Zone (23 July) that West Ham should “go all out at any cost to get him.”

““If West Ham could get him, I would go all out at any cost to get him. If it were to cost £30m to get him, I would definitely take him,” Allen said.

“He is exactly what is needed, so I would sign Paulinha.”

Hajdari deal can go ahead

West Ham have been linked with a move for Swiss defender Albian Hajdai this summer.

The FC Lugano talent has suffered from several unknown injuries in recent years but, speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone (23 July), Dr Rajpal Brar dismissed fears over a failed medical.

“There may be other underlying factors to consider, but I do not see any issues with his medical,” he said.
