West Ham transfer news: Hammers eye Bristol City ace Cameron Pring in left-back search
West Ham have reportedly identified Cameron Pring as a potential target for their problematic left-back position, according to the Daily Mail.
The news publication reported online (31 July) that West Ham have had a look at the Bristol City defender as they continue their quest to complete their first summer signing.
A new left-back might be required after Aaron Cresswell asked David Sullivan to let him go to Wolves, as reported by Alan Nixon via his Patreon (30 July).

Pring could offer an alternative option to Rennes’ Adrien Truffert if a deal cannot be agreed as the club step up their pursuit of the 21-year-old defender from Ligue 1.
List of targets
It appears that the West Ham board seem to have a long list of targets in every position this summer, yet no signings have been made, as the recruitment mess continues.
It has been a tale of two sagas during this transfer window. First, the Declan Rice saga, and now, the saga to identify and recruit at least one of their many targets.

Unlike some of the other players the club are looking at, Pring could be a relatively stress-free deal to pull off due to his lower status compared to some of the stars across Europe and the Premier League who West Ham have been pursuing.
The 25-year-old played 32 times for his club in the Championship last season as they finished 14th, 10 points off of the play-off places. During those appearances, he scored once and provided six assists from left-back.
It might not be the most exciting signing, but it would be a signing, and that is something supporters are desperate for at the moment.
In other West Ham news, an update has been provided on personal terms in the club’s ongoing pursuit of a new midfielder.
