West Ham told how they could structure Paul Pogba deal

West Ham United continue to be mentioned as a potential landing destination for Paul Pogba.

The ex-France international is coming off the back of a difficult comeback season with Monaco.

He was given a chance at Stade Louis II to rebuild his career after a doping ban ruled him out for 18 months.

Things didn't really work out in his debut year in the Principality as he made just six appearances.

It now looks as if he'll be on his way out at the Ligue 1 outfit as his contract looks set to be ripped up.

West Ham could seize the opportunity to sign Pogba on a free transfer as they have been told how they could make it work.

What contract could West Ham offer Paul Pogba?

The 33-year-old is certainly well known in English football having been Manchester United and the Premier League's record signing in 2016.

That came off the back of a stellar few seasons at Juventus where he truly became world class.

He has never quite hit those heights since returning to Old Trafford and has since seen his career damaged by doping charges.

Monaco took a chance last summer and are now working to cancel his contract early.

That has prompted questions over a potential move to West Ham as Ray Parlour made his thoughts clear via talkSPORT on Friday.

He said: "I suppose you could bring him into training. I don't know him as a person, but he'll still have ability, he was a brilliant player back in the day.

"Could he be on a play as you play-type contract? He's probably got enough money already."

That sort of deal could appeal to the Irons due to the limited risk, especially if they look to seal similar deals with other star names.

Could West Ham sign Pogba and Dele Alli?

In the same breathe as above, Parlour suggested that Dele Alli is also training with the Irons.

He noted, "They've got Dele Alli there as well West Ham, at the moment."

There are reports suggesting that the former England international is training at Rush Green and that has now been echoed.

The ex-Tottenham man would be in a similar place to Pogba as a potential free transfer at the London Stadium.

They would both be low risk financially, but could be high reward if they can get anywhere near the best that everyone knows about.

It is now just a question about how realistic these moves would be.

Bringing in Alli feels more likely to happen, while Pogba feels massively pie in the sky.
