West Ham to offload Niclas Fullkrug amid Juventus transfer twist – Di Marzio
Niclas Fullkrug has made his way onto Juventus’ transfer shortlist just five months after joining West Ham United, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Sky Italia journalist reported via his website on 6 January that Fullkrug could leave the Hammers on loan during the ongoing January transfer window.
Juventus are, therefore, considering a move for the Germany international despite previously being uninterested in him [Il Bianco Nero].
Juventus to sign Fullkrug on loan from West Ham United
The Hammers shelled out £27million to sign Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, with the decision to spend that much money on a 31-year-old striker raising eyebrows.
Fullkrug’s signing has cleary backfired as the striker most of the first half of the season through injury.
He has bagged only two goals and an assist in nine Premier League games since arriving in East London in August.
It might be harsh to judge Fullkrug so soon, considering he has struggled to stay fit this season, but a temporary move away from the London Stadium may help him get back on track.
It now remains to be seen if Juventus will step up their interest in the centre-forward.

The Serie A giants are in the market for a new number nine this month, with Joshua Zirzkee and Randal Kolo Muani also on their shortlist.
Given those players’ age, it would not be a surprise if Juventus chose to pursue one of those two players instead of Fullkrug.
