West Ham fans are excited by the prospect of Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma moving to the London Stadium in the summer.
On May 2, the Sunday People reported in their print edition that the Hammers are among a number of clubs who are interested in the 24-year-old box-to-box midfielder.
While it is understood that Arsenal winning the race for the £30million-rated Mali international at the moment, there’s still a good case for West Ham to beat them to his signature with Champions League football still a real possibility for the Irons.
We asked our panel of West Ham Super Fans for their thoughts on whether Bissouma would be a good addition to the squad despite Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek usually holding down the central midfield positions.
One supporter pointed out that the Irons will need the extra depth due to a likely campaign in Europe while another claimed that Bissouma could play in a central three with Rice and Soucek.

Bissouma’s had a stunning season with Brighton.
He was recently voted as the player of the month for April for the south coast club while the We Are Brighton website claims that the midfielder is worth double the £30million figure that’s been reported lately.
Even Gary Lineker dubbed Bissouma an “exceptional footballer” on Twitter last month.
We’d do well to sign Bissouma and while this next West Ham Super Fan agrees the midfielder would be a good addition, he cannot help but think the money would be best put towards a new striker.

We can’t disagree with that.
While it would be wise to add an extra central midfielder due to Mark Noble’s advancing years, someone who spearheads the attack and gets the goals has to the David Moyes’ number one priority.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have been tipped to beat Aston Villa to this “major signing”.
