West Ham fans aren’t sold on the idea of David Moyes signing his former Everton midfielder Ross Barkley this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers are interested in landing the 27-year-old on an initial loan deal from Chelsea with the Champions League winners seemingly keen to move him on.
Barkley spent last season on loan at Aston Villa and while he started the campaign well with two goals and an assist in his first six Premier League appearances for them, a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury halted his momentum.
After returning from injury, Barkley’s form wasn’t what it was before and Dean Smith ended up overlooking the midfielder in the latter stages of his loan spell in the West Midlands.
We asked our panel of West Ham Super Fans for their thoughts on the potential loan arrival of Barkley and they’re not sure he’d be a good addition.
Some even worry that if Moyes signs Barkley, it could mean he won’t be signing Jesse Lingard.

We need to add to our central midfield options in the summer but Barkley wouldn’t displace either Tomas Soucek or Declan Rice if they’re all fit and available.
According to BirminghamLive, Barkley’s contract at Chelsea is worth £100,000-a-week.
Should we be spending that kind of money on a back-up player who’s regularly injured and consistently disappointed since his breakthrough at Everton?
Obviously, Moyes knows the Liverpool-born midfielder and may be able to get a tune out of him but is it a risk worth taking?
In our view, definitely not.
In other West Ham news, a big-money striker Moyes wants has been spotted with a Hammers star.
