West Ham star Mohammed Kudus makes Saudi transfer decision
West Ham attacker Mohammed Kudus has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer.
The Ghana international moved to the London Stadium from Ajax in 2023 for a £36.9million fee.
He has been a success in East London and has been subject to transfer interest from a host of clubs.

Kudus says no to Saudi transfer this summer
According to the Sun (26 June), the 24-year-old has rejected the chance to move to the Middle East this summer.
Kudus may be sold by West Ham this summer as they’re looking to raise funds for a rebuild.
This is Graham Potter’s first major window in charge and he’s eyeing reinforcements in different areas.
Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
---|---|---|---|
Ajax | 87 | 27 | 12 |
West Ham | 80 | 19 | 13 |
Nordsjaelland | 57 | 14 | 3 |
Moving to Saudi would’ve seen Kudus double his wages, as some clubs were willing to offer that.
However, his preference is to move to a club in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
He is also keen on playing Champions League football within the next two seasons.

West Ham must look to secure a huge fee for Kudus this summer
West Ham can command a substantial transfer fee for Kudus this summer due to his proven quality, youth and market interest, despite an inconsistent 2024-25 season.
The 24-year-old, with 19 goals and 13 assists in 80 appearances, showcased his dribbling prowess and versatility at Ajax and the Irons, attracting attention from a number of top clubs.
His £85million release clause sets a high benchmark, though the Hammers may accept around £60million given his recent dip in form.
With a long-term contract and interest from Champions League sides, West Ham’s financial needs and Kudus’ ambition ensure a hefty fee, potentially funding squad rebuilding under Potter.
However, his turning down Saudi means that the owners looking for a big transfer fee may now have to explore other options.
