West Ham star Crysencio Summerville holds talks with player over Tottenham transfer
West Ham United star Crysencio Summerville is getting advice from Netherlands international colleague Donyell Malen over his future.
Summerville is one of multiple West Ham players who have been tipped to leave on the back of last month's relegation from the Premier League.
The Dutchman would attract a hefty transfer fee, with a number of teams reported to be circling around.
Tottenham Hotspur are one of the teams said to be interested, as are Serie A side Roma.
And if it it is a straight call between the two, Summerville's close friend certainly knows which one he should pick.
Donyell Malen issues transfer advice to Crysencio Summerville
It goes without saying West Ham fans will be fuming if Summerville swaps West Ham for fierce rivals Tottenham.
Even more so given it was Tottenham who stayed up at West Ham's expense on the final day.
That is exactly what Mohammed Kudus did last summer, of course, as he burned all bridges with the Irons' fanbase.
As per Italian outfit Leggo, Summerville is wanted by Tottenham but is also the first name on Roma's transfer wishlist.
Summerville is currently preparing for the World Cup with the Netherlands, where Malen is also present.
Given Malen is currently on the books at Roma, it is no surprise to read that he is eager for Summerville to join him in the Italian capital.
Summerville is said to have asked for Malen's advice amid the links to Tottenham and Roma.
Another factor could lead Summerville to Roma over Tottenham
Beyond the obvious - the hatred between the two clubs - there is another reason why Roma may be the favourites to sign Summerville.
The 24-year-old has the same agency as Malen, so Roma have a good connection there having recently worked on a transfer.
The Italian side would still need to meet West Ham's valuation, whatever that may be.
But it certainly seems like Summerville will be one of those sacrificed, along with Mateus Fernandes, in order to keep Jarrod Bowen.
If Summerville does indeed have a choice between Tottenham and Roma, it is not hard to guess which West Ham supporters would rather.
