West Ham stance on Harry Maguire transfer shared, pay cut required to make move happen
West Ham are beginning to lose interest in making any more move for Harry Maguire, according to Claret and Hugh.
The Hammers news site has reported (17 July) that the out-of-favour Manchester United defender has no interest in making the switch to the London Stadium.
Claret and Hugh’s report said an exclusive source had revealed Maguire is unwilling to take a pay cut, nor is he willing to leave Manchester United for the London Stadium at this juncture of his career.

Manager David Moyes was reportedly keen on signing the England international, but it appears as if the club won’t be taking their interest any further.
Difficult deal
It appears as if wages could prove to be the stumbling block in this deal. West Ham are unlikely to match the sort of wages Maguire is earning at Old Trafford and it is clear that Maguire is not interested in a pay cut.
Moyes is in desperate need of some defensive cover after some shaky displays at the back last season and despite some unconvincing performances of his own during his United career so far, there is no doubt that Maguire can do a job.

Usually such a consistent performer for the national side, Maguire is clearly a player who possesses quality but just needs the right system and environment to display it.
A change of scenery could have been exactly what Maguire needed to get his club career back on track and start playing regularly again. However, if he is not interested in a move, then it is best for the Hammers to move on quickly and act fast to identify new targets.
In other West Ham news, the club are hopeful of getting a separate deal across the line.
