West Ham sent message as terms agreed for Yuri Alberto transfer
West Ham are reportedly keen on signing Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto this summer.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has reacted to Alberto's recent setback as he's suffered a fracture.
Graham Potter wants West Ham to bring in a new forward amid his side's struggles in the final third last season.
Alberto's recent injury may complicate his transfer
The Hammers may now decide against signing the 24-year-old due to his recent lumbar vertebra fracture, according to Dr Brar.
This comes as West Ham agreed personal terms to sign Alberto in the transfer window. (The Times, 25 April)

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: "He has suffered a lumbar vertebra fracture and that may keep him out for a while.
"This might cause issues with his medical and could see the club alter their transfer plans.
"It all hinges on his rehab and when he can return to first-team training."
West Ham must now switch targets from Alberto
Alberto could have been a dynamic signing for West Ham, boasting an impressive 13 goals in 35 games this season.
His blend of technical finesse, physicality and versatility certainly suits Potter’s system, offering a fix for their lacklustre attack.
However, his recent back fracture poses significant risks, potentially delaying his integration and impacting his performance.
Additionally, his lack of experience in Europe’s top five leagues raises concerns about adapting to the Premier League’s physical and tactical demands.
West Ham should opt for a proven, fit striker to ensure immediate impact and avoid the uncertainties tied to Alberto’s injury and inexperience.
Potter surely will be having his preferred options and the board have to back him as they showed faith in him, sacking Julen Lopetegui to hire him.
