West Ham seek Premier League permission as Arsenal eager to offload Reiss Nelson

West Ham United will require a deal sheet from the Premier League if they are to sign Reiss Nelson from Arsenal, according to TBR Football.

The outlet reported this via their website and stated that extra time beyond the 11pm would ensure that any last-minute deals can go through on time.

Arsenal are said to be in need to offload Nelson before the end of play in, with a move for Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling also possible.

Reiss Nelson to West Ham United makes sense

It’s no secret that West Ham have been on the lookout for attacking reinforcement across the summer transfer window.

The Hammers have already welcomed Niclas Fullkrug and Crysencio Summerville to their ranks and have been vying for the addition of another attacker since Aaron Wan-Bissaka joined the club.

Whilst Reiss Nelson’s name might not be the most exciting of those that West Ham have been linked with, and it was certainly out-of-the-blue, it’s a move that makes a lot of sense.

Reiss Nelson is likely to leave Arsenal this summer for regular football

The attacker already has Premier League experience and can do a job on either flank.

His addition would not only ease the pressure off of the shoulders of Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen but he could fulfil the role of one of the aforementioned duo and push one of the two further up the pitch.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Nelson but with less than an hour left of the transfer window (at the time of writing), Julen Lopetegui will have to step up his chase a gear or two should he wish to seal a deal.
