West Ham reject chance to sign Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard
West Ham have snubbed the chance to sign Odsonne Edouard after Celtic offered the French striker to them, according to the Express journalist Ryan Taylor.
Writing on the Express website, Taylor reports that the Hammers have also rejected ex-Chelsea man Tammy Abraham, Alassane Plea from Borussia Monchengladbach and Sevilla’s Luuk de Jong.
Last week, Eurosport reported that West Ham and Crystal Palace were the two options for Edouard, 23, if he left Celtic for the Premier League this summer.

However, it seems that the Hammers are happy to have Michail Antonio as their only striker despite being offered a proven goalscorer in Edouard.
Strange rejection
Celtic must have been after too much money for Edouard for West Ham to turn down the chance to sign the Frenchman.
While many English football fans may look down upon Scottish football, it would be fair to say that a number of gems have emerged from north of the border in recent years with Moussa Dembele, Virgil van Dijk and Billy Gilmour among them.
Edouard is still young at the age of 23 but he’s already won three Scottish Premiership titles at Celtic and scored a whopping 86 goals in 177 appearances across all competitions.

The ex-France Under-21 international has scored in the Champions League, in the Europa League and in Old Firm derbies so he knows how to find the back of the net in the toughest of matches.
We’d love to see him join the Hammers but the club clearly isn’t happy with what Celtic have offered the striker for.
As the transfer window closes in a week and Edouard is in the final year of his contract, the Glasgow giants may drop their demands and sell the French goal machine.
In other West Ham news, Dharmesh Sheth says there’s every chance the Irons will sign this international forward.
