West Ham ready to pay £25.7m to sign Roman Yaremchuk
West Ham are not frightened by Gent’s huge asking price for Ukraine forward Roman Yaremchuk, according to CalcioMercato.
The Italian news outlet claims the 25-year-old is “one of the hottest names in the market” with him also being tracked by Lazio, Roma and Wolfsburg.
It is understood Wolfsburg are readying a bid for Yaremchuk but they are wary of Gent’s valuation of the Ukrainian as they want between £21.4million and £25.7million for their star man.

However, CalcioMercato reports that the Hammers are prepared to pay that much for Andriy Yarmolenko’s international teammate.
Expensive
Yaremchuk is making a name for himself at the European Championships this summer with goals in each of Ukraine’s opening fixtures against the Netherlands and North Macedonia.
However, his ability to find the back of the net is no surprise based on the season he had at Gent.

The former Dynamo Kyiv striker netted 23 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions this season for his club.
West Ham need a striker who knows where the back of the net is ahead of next season when they’ll be aiming to do well in the Premier League again and get out of the Europa League group stages.
Yaremchuk has experience of playing in the Europa League group stages. This season, he netted just once as Gent lost all their matches but in 2019/20, he fired in three goals from six games and all of them came against Wolfsburg, who are now said to be interested in him.
David Moyes simply has to find a new striker this summer and we could do worse than Yaremchuk.
However, we would rather see the club push the boat out and land someone who is proven in the Premier League like Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
In other West Ham news, an English striker wanted by the Irons is up for grabs for just £8million now.
