West Ham United ‘offered AC Milan player after failed medical’
West Ham United have been given the chance to sign AC Milan forward Noah Okafor after he failed a medical at RB Leipzig, according to TBR.
The news outlet reported on 20 January that European giants Milan have “offered” Okafor to the Irons, who had previously shown an interest in the striker [La Gazzetta dello Sport].
Okafor, a Swiss international, has scored just once for Milan this season in the league and with the long-term injury to Niclas Fullkrug, he could be a shrewd option for the Hammers.
Tottenham and Bournemouth are also potential landing spots for the 24-year-old, but as it stands, West Ham are believed to be holding off on any immediate decision.
West Ham need to sign a striker
The Hammers attacking woes continued at the weekend with a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, and results like that will continue as long as they are without a striker capable of finding the back of the net.
With Jarrod Bowen and Fullkrug sidelined, the Hammers have very few sources of goals and an inability to rectify that could prove costly as Graham Potter looks to revive the season.
While Okafor doesn’t have the greatest goal record in Milan, he has previously showcased his ability as a forward capable of scoring goals. With the level of quality in the West Ham side, he could thrive.

Whether a deal materialises or not, it remains clear that the Irons are looking to address the goalscoring concerns at the London Stadium, but actions indeed speak louder than words.
All eyes will be on the transfer window in the coming weeks as the Irons chase reinforcements.
