West Ham are in advanced talks to sign Brighton’s striker sensation Evan Ferguson on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian transfer specialist reported via X [2 February] that negotiations are progressing but key details are still to be worked out before a deal is made official between the two Premier League clubs.
This comes after Dharmesh Sheth’s update that Ferguson will travel to London on Sunday 2 February to undergo a medical, with a straight loan being agreed until the end of the season.

Graham Potter will be absolutely buzzing to be reuniting with his former striker, having worked together so closely at the Amex Stadium.
The former Brighton boss has since been at Chelsea, and now with the Hammers following the sack of Julen Lopetegui, he is about to add a much-needed striker to his ranks.
With Niclas Fullkrug and Michail Antonio absent, Potter has been forced into playing Lucas Paqueta or Mohammed Kudus through the middle, preferring either of them to Danny Ings.
It looked as though time was running out to find a new striker before the winter transfer window slammed shut, especially with the news of Chelsea wanting to sign Eli Junior Kroupi [The Sun on Sunday, page 55].
While Ferguson has just one Premier League goal to his name this season, making just two league starts mainly due to injury setbacks, there is no doubt over the youngster’s abilities.
He already has 17 goals in 80 first-team appearances and is a constant figure for the Republic of Ireland national team, winning 18 caps and scoring four goals.
With the attacking players around him at the London Stadium Ferguson could be in for a very exciting second half of the season, especially once Jarrod Bowen returns from injury.
