West Ham must put more effort in signing Amine Gouiri instead of Piotr Zielenski
West Ham United are interested in making a move for Nice midfielder Amine Gouiri this summer, according to Foot Mercato.
The Hammers are in the market to sign players to bolster the midfield ahead of the next campaign and have been linked with a number of players.
As per the latest report, they are keen in making a move for the 22-year-old despite the French club’s reluctance to sell.

West Ham started the transfer window with a number of question marks and have managed to address most of the issues.
However, one area which still remains a concern is the midfield as Mark Noble has retired from the sport whereas Alex Kral.
As the Irons are linked with Gouri and Piotr Zieliński in the summer window, it is important to look at both of the players individually.
The biggest difference between Gouiri and Zielinski is their age. Even though Zielinski is an established midfielder with multiple caps for Poland, he doesn’t have many years left in his professional career.

If he makes his move to the London Stadium, he is not going to be at the club for a long time. As he will go to a completely different league, he would need time to adjust and looking at his age, he is already running out of time in terms of his prime.
Therefore, it is important that West Ham make a move for a younger midfielder and looking at the performances Gouiri has put in for Nice so far, he can make an impact at the London Stadium.
