View: West Ham must act quickly to Jesse Lingard after Newcastle strong interest
Newcastle United are looking to secure the signing of Jesse Lingard in January, and West Ham must act quickly.
According to reports from The Times, the Magpies have made him their priority signing in January, and they are ready to make him the highest earner in the club’s history.
Lingard has a contract at Manchester United till the end of the season, and chances are high that he will be allowed to leave the club in January.

Newcastle have offered Lingard a four-and-a-half-year deal significantly in excess of the £100,000-a-week salary.
If West Ham don’t move now, they may end up losing him.
The Hammers are interested [The Telegraph] in signing Lingard in January, but they haven’t come up with a formal offer as yet.
Lingard was fantastic for the Hammers last season whilst on loan, and given an option he would prefer to play under Moyes once again.
West Ham need to sign to bolster their forward department, and signing a striker is necessary.
However, Lingard can make big contributions with goals and assists, and he would be perfect for the London club.

With West Ham looking to secure Champions League football next term, Moyes should look to inject an extra bit of quality in the side.
Lingard can provide that. He will take no time to settle in, and will fit in seamlessly.
The Hammers can get him on a cut-price deal, and they surely need to make a formal offer to sign him.
