West Ham make approach to sign Fagioli, he’s ready to quit Juventus
West Ham have made enquiries into the availability of Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli with the Italian said to be ready for a Turin exit, according to Tutto Mercato.
The Italian news outlet reported on 28 January that the Hammers have made an approach for Fagioli with a “strong possibility” that he could leave Turin before the end of January.
The Irons were reported to have made an approach for the Italian at the start of the window with a £16.5million price tag slapped on his head and that interest appears to have resurfaced as the deadline approaches.
Juventus are keen to offload the midfielder permanently but the only offers received have been initial loan deals.
West Ham must utilise the remainder of the winter transfer window
Time is running out for the Hammers to do any more business in the window and if they are to progress under the stewardship of Graham Potter, it is crucial that they are able to inject some additional quality into the squad.
Of course, the addition of a striker has to be the priority at the London Stadium, amid links to Brighton’s Evan Ferguson [Dharmesh Sheth] but other areas certainly have room for improvement.
Fagioli would be a neat investment for the Hmamers should they move forward with a deal given his age and already established ability.

At just 23 years old, Fagioli has years of development ahead of him which under Potter, could reach an all-time high and with Juventus unlikely to be asking for a substantial fee, it’s a deal worth pursuing.
However, if the Irons are to do that, they must act quickly with Borussia Dortmund and Napoli two other clubs rumoured to be interested.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have tabled a £21m bid for this La Liga midfielder.
