West Ham make approach for Ardon Jashari amid late AC Milan transfer twist

West Ham have been linked with Ardon Jashari throughout the transfer window.

The midfielder is a Swiss international and has enjoyed a successful spell at Club Brugge.

Now, Jashari could take the next step in his career, with plenty of teams interested in the 22-year-old.

West Ham reportedly opened talks for Jashari in May, but nothing came from this.

Now, the transfer saga has developed further in Graham Potter’s favour.

West Ham look to pounce as AC Milan talks stall with Jashari

On top of West Ham, AC Milan have also been looking to sign Jashari.

However, these talks have now reportedly stalled after the Italian giants failed to agree on a fee with Club Brugge.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, page 9 (29 July), AC Milan are not prepared to meet the Belgian side’s asking price for Jashari, which has opened up an opportunity for West Ham and fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

The report states that the two English clubs have approached Club Brugge, expressing their interest in Jashari.

The Belgian side are hoping for an auction this summer as they look to get £34.6 million for the midfielder.

Jashari would be a transformative signing for Potter

West Ham are still in need of a new midfielder this summer.

This has been heightened by rumours that Lucas Paqueta could leave the London Stadium this summer.

Therefore, if Potter can secure the addition of Jashari, it would be an excellent addition.

During his first year at Club Brugge, the 22-year-old has established himself as one of the division’s best players and helped Brugge win the Belgian Cup.

Therefore, there is little doubt that Jashari could adapt to the Premier League in the upcoming campaign.
