West Ham line up Aaron Ramsdale deal as official transfer news shared
West Ham could now advance on a deal for Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Pressure is mounting on Graham Potter as the Hammers look likely to finish as low as 17th in the Premier League.
West Ham are winless in their last eight, and are determined to offer supporters more in the new season.
With many players set to depart this summer, the Irons are hoping to debut several new faces at the London Stadium next season.

Ramsdale and Noah Atubolu both options for West Ham
The Hammers are in need of a reliable replacement after they announced Lucasz Fabianski’s departure (9 May) once the season ends.
The London club are already on the lookout for suitable options, with a couple already on their radar.
According to The Athletic (9 May), while signing a goalkeeper this summer was initially not a priority, West Ham are now considering Ramsdale and Atubolu as Fabianski replacements.

West Ham should invest in Freiburg’s Atubolu
While both Ramsdale and Atubolu would make fine additions to Potter’s side, West Ham should go all out for the German goalkeeper.
2024/25 Season | Clean Sheets | Crosses Stopped | Penalty-Kicks Saved |
Aaron Ramsdale | 7.4 per cent | 5.8 per cent | 28.6 per cent |
Noah Atubolu | 40 per cent | 8.8 per cent | 100 per cent |
For Freiburg this season, the 22-year-old is in the 89th percentile for clean sheets, the 85th for crosses stopped and the 98th for penalty-kicks saved.
Meanwhile, Ramsdale is in the fifth percentile for clean sheets at Southampton this season, 42nd for crosses stopped, and 68th for penalty kicks saved.
The 26-year-old may be Premier League proven, but he also ranks lower in save percentage and goals conceded.
While it may be a risk investing in an unproven young keeper, this West Ham team needs a new spark, and Atubolu may already have a match.
