West Ham learn Raheem Sterling’s transfer preference in ‘one to watch’
West Ham United have had a busy start to the January transfer window as they look to reinforce their squad, with Raheem Sterling the latest name to be linked.
Gil Vicente striker Pablo has undergone a medical at West Ham and looks set to make the move to the London Stadium for £21million.
The Hammers are also finalising a deal for Lazio frontman Taty Castellanos, and will pay £25m for the Argentine.
With Nuno Espirito Santo already getting his hands on two centre forwards, attention has now turned to signing a winger.
West Ham in race for Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling
West Ham are reportedly in talks with Chelsea over a potential move for out-of-favour wide man Raheem Sterling.
The former England international has not played a single minute for the West London side this season, and has even been training alone as he waits for a route out of Stamford Bridge.
However, according to Florian Plettenburg, Sterling is leaning towards joining Fulham rather than the Hammers.
Plettenburg added that it is “one to watch” as West Ham are interested in the 31-year-old, but Marco Silva’s side are concretely in the race.

Who else are West Ham targeting?
While the Sterling deal is looking unlikely at this stage, West Ham are also in for Fulham winger Adama Traore.
The Hammers have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Spaniard and could be set to bring him in on an initial six-month loan.
Nuno is a big fan of Traore, having worked with him while the pair were together at Wolves, and is pushing to get the deal over the line.
The East London side are firmly in the Premier League relegation zone, and currently sit four points adrift of 17th-placed Nottingham Forest.
However, if they can bring in Pablo, Castellanos, and Traore, then Nuno will feel that he is more equipped to lead his side to safety.
