West Ham join race for Sacha Boey as active offer is submitted
West Ham are in the race for Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey ahead of the January transfer window.
Nuno Espirito Santo is on the hunt for reinforcements as West Ham look to stay in the Premier League.
Now, one star who has been identified is Boey, who currently plays for Bayern Munich.
The right-back has been at the German giants for almost three years, winning numerous trophies.
However, he could now be available, with multiple clubs in pursuit.

Juventus and West Ham battling for Sacha Boey
According to TZ on 21 November, Boey could be allowed to leave Bayern in January.
The German giants are prepared to let the right-back go to free up funds for other transfer targets.
Despite Bayern purchasing Boey for £26.4million, they are now prepared to let him go for just £15.8m.
- Boey joined Bayern in Janaury 2024
- He has made 37 appearances for the German club in all competitions, scoring once
- Boey has won the Bundesliga and the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup so far at Bayern
West Ham have been linked with numerous players who can play right-back in recent weeks, with the Frenchman now becoming the latest.
However, if they are to secure the signing of Boey, they will have to beat Juventus to his signature.
The full-back was offered to the Old Lady in the summer, but this was rejected. However, with a new sporting director in Turin, the situation could change as Juventus is being mentioned as a potential destination after Bayern reportedly made an active offer.

Galatasaray, AS Monaco, Olympique Lyon, Crystal Palace, and Sevilla are also showing interest, with Boey preferring a move to either England, Spain, or France.
How good is Boey?
According to Fotmob on 21 November, Boey looks like a good attacking full-back.
The defender was averaging 0.30 assists per 90 minutes last season, as well as performing 0.91 successful dribbles.
| Sacha Boey’s Bundesliga stats last season | Per 90 minutes |
| Assists | 0.30 |
| xA | 0.27 |
| Passing accuracy | 93.8% |
| Successful dribbles | 0.91 |
| Tackles | 3.03 |
| Duels won | 5.91 |
Nuno has often liked an attacking full-back; therefore, it is no surprise that Boey is a target ahead of the January transfer window.
Nuno has been promised funds at the London Stadium in January, and could look to splash the cash on the Bayern star.
However, the task for the manager and West Ham is to convince Boey to join the East London club over his other potential options.
