West Ham in talks with Arsenal to sign player who Mikel Arteta finds ‘tremendous’
West Ham are already looking toward the January transfer window to see if they’ll be able to improve their squad.
The Hammers have endured a poor start to the season and currently look short of quality in all areas of the pitch.
However, it has been suggested that their recruitment team are looking at an Arsenal forward to potentially boost their attacking threat.
It would be a difficult transfer to pull off as the player remains highly regarded by Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.
However, it’s believed that he’s looking for a move after falling down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.

West Ham target Gabriel Jesus ahead of January transfer window
The Hammers struggled for goals last season. West Ham released Michail Antonio and Danny Ings in the summer, while Callum Wilson was their only attack-minded signing in the summer.
However, according to FootballTransfers on 20 September, the Hammers are hoping to sign Gabriel Jesus as competition for the centre-forward role.
Jesus is a proven marksman in the Premier League, having scored 76 league goals for Manchester City and Arsenal.
The Brazilian star would certainly be an improvement on the choice of strikers currently available at the London Stadium.
It is claimed that Jesus is open to a move away from Arsenal in January, but Everton are also interested, with both the Toffees and West Ham having made initial contact over a transfer.

Gabriel Jesus has the credentials to save West Ham’s season
Arsenal boss Arteta has labelled Jesus as “tremendous” and a “saviour” in the past, but he is struggling to get a game for the Gunners now.
It makes sense that he’s seeking a transfer, particularly with the World Cup approaching in the summer. He may be upset that he didn’t leave North London in the summer.
It would be a massive coup for West Ham to sign him. This transfer might remind some Hammers fans of when Carlos Tevez signed all the way back in 2006.
Tevez was far too good for the West Ham team back then, and he almost single-handedly saved them from relegation with his brilliance toward the back end of that season.

Despite a lack of game time for Arsenal, the same could be said for Jesus. He has 64 goals for Brazil and was firing Manchester City to multiple Premier League titles not too long ago.
West Ham fans can only hope that they’re not in a position where they need Jesus to save them from relegation by the time January rolls around.
