West Ham in shock loan swap talks with Tottenham, Nuno and Thomas Frank both support move

West Ham and Tottenham could be set to agree a peculiar swap deal before the winter transfer window shuts.

The two clubs are historical rivals, but they have done business together when it has suited their needs.

Mohammed Kudus moved from West Ham to Tottenham last summer, and they could be set to reach a new agreement this month.

Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side want to bring in more players before the window concludes, with Pablo and Taty Castellanos already coming through the doors.

West Ham can finally sign Kinsky but there is a twist

West Ham may finally get Antonin Kinsky from Tottenham, but it may require an exit from the London Stadium.

ExWHUEmployee reported claimed the West Ham Way on 21 January that the Hammers are exploring a swap deal that would see Kinsky come to East London on loan.

Hermansen would go the other way, also on a temporary deal, with both managers understood to be happy with the players that are getting.

He said: “West Ham are currently in talks over a loan swap deal with Spurs involving our goalkeepers.

“The move would see Antonín Kinský come to West Ham on loan till the end of the season and Mads Hermansen to Spurs on a similar deal.

“At first it sounded quite ridiculous to me, but Tomas Frank is said to rate Mads Hermansen and Nuno likes Antonin Kinsky who played at Slavia Prague with El Hadji Malick Diouf is said to be keen on the move.”

What would Kinsky arrival mean for Alphonse Areola?

Alphonse Areola is currently the Hammers’ number one, having beaten Hermansen to the starting role early in the campaign.

However, he has conceded 33 goals in 18 matches, so Kinsky may fancy his chances of coming in and taking the jersey straight away, if he ends up in E20.

The Frenchman will fancy his chances of keeping it, though, as he has already bested one new signing, and Kinsky has little experience in English football since signing for Spurs from Slavia Prague last January.

Spurs would surely now allow the loan exit if they did not feel like their man was going to play regularly, though, as then it would not benefit him or the North London club in the slightest.

The writing may be on the wall for Areola, if Kinsky comes through the door at Rush Green, as there would surely be assurances if the Lilywhites sanction the swap deal.

Nuno clearly feels like the younger man has the potential to be the new number one, otherwise, what would be the point is making the move.
