West Ham in pursuit of Bayern Munich centre-back Tanguy Nianzou
West Ham are interested in signing Bayern Munich centre-back Tanguy Nianzou, according to 90min.
The football news website reported on 9 August that the 20-year-old Frenchman is under consideration at the London Stadium as David Moyes looks to add to his centre-back options.
Issa Diop is on the verge of joining Fulham and a bid has been made for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer.

However, 90min claims that if a move for 25-year-old Germany international Kehrer fails then Nianzou could become someone the Hammers move to sign as a backup plan.
Interesting one
Nianzou is at Bayern Munich for a reason.
The former PSG youngster already has 28 senior appearances to his name for the German giants with the bulk of those matches being last season.
Nianzou played in the Champions League and even grabbed one goal as he helped Bayern on their way to the Bundesliga title.
In the first two games of this season, he’s been an unused substitute for Bayern but that doesn’t mean that he’s someone who West Ham fans should turn their noses up at.
The France Under-20s captain is a top young talent.
According to the Bundesliga official website, he’s similar to Borussia Dortmund’s former Bayern defender Mats Hummels as he’s an “elegant, ball-playing” centre-back who’s also very strong in the air.

After scoring his goal against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga last term, Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann said, as quoted by Bundesliga: “He’s incredibly strong in the air, probably our strongest defender in the air, even on offense.
“Overall, I was very satisfied with Tanguy.
“You can see that he has a very good character, that he throws everything in.
“He has an unbelievable aggressiveness and a winning mentality that is extraordinary.”
Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic dubbed Nianzou as “one of the greatest prospects in Europe”.
If we fail to sign Kehrer, Nianzou will almost certainly do but would Bayern be so willing to cash in on a top prospect like him?
We really doubt it.
