West Ham in advanced talks to sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea
West Ham are in advanced talks to sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea amid new hope personal terms can be agreed, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported via their print edition on August 25 [page 73] that the Hammers want to make a breakthrough in discussions to sign the 26-year-old France international today.
It is understood that the deal for the centre-back will cost the Irons £25million.

Deal close – finally
It’s taken a while but it seems that West Ham are finally closing in on a deal to sign a new outfield player.
Alphonse Areola has been the only new player to arrive at the London Stadium this summer with the goalkeeper joining on a loan-to-buy basis from Paris Saint-Germain.
Craig Dawson has also had his loan from Watford made permanent but David Moyes has been in need of a new centre-back after losing Fabian Balbuena at the end of last season when his contract expired.

Zouma is an upgrade on Balbuena and may even be a starting centre-back for Moyes in the Premier League once he’s settled in.
The Frenchman has played 165 times in the Premier League during his time at Chelsea, which has also included loan stints at Stoke and Everton.
He’s strong, powerful, good in the air and should be a very handy addition to the Hammers defence.
Moyes has seen his side score eight goals in their two opening wins of the Premier League season but three have been conceded to Newcastle and 10-men Leicester.
Teams are finding a way to score against us and adding Zouma may help that.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have been offered this prolific striker by a giant club.
