West Ham have Yann Bisseck answer as £41.5m transfer news emerges
West Ham had a £24.9million bid rejected by Inter Milan for Yann Bisseck in the summer transfer window, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
The Italian outlet suggested via their website on 21 December that the Irons are ready to rekindle their interest in the defender, with Premier League clubs prepared to “return to the charge”.
However, Inter have no plans to sell the 24-year-old player and will only consider a transfer in the event of an “irresistible” offer, which is set at £41.5m and above.
Tim Steidten to give West Ham edge in Yann Bisseck race
The East London outfit are competing against Tottenham for Bisseck’s signature, according to CaughtOffside.
However, they reported (20 December) that Tim Steidten is likely to give them an advantage in the race due to the German connection and influence. Bisseck has made eight appearances for Germany Under-21s.
The technical director, though, cannot do much about Inter’s no-sale stance apart from negotiating with them.
It remains to be seen if Steidten can convince the Milan giants to sell Bisseck to them.
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that £41.5m is higher than the previously quoted sum of £35m.

CaughtOffside reported that Inter could find it hard to turn down offers in the region of £35m – a sum West Ham are prepared to pay for him.
The figures, though, are not significantly different, meaning the Irons could negotiate a lower fee with Inter if they agree to sell the centre-back in the first place.
In other West Ham news, this is how much the Irons have agreed to potentially buy this player for.
