The striker played a bit-part role in the Premier League last season after promotion via the play-offs.
He started in just 11 of his 32 top flight appearances and still managed to score six goals.
That saw him play a part in securing Europa League qualification at the Stadium of Light.
A move for Isidor away from Sunderland could still be on the cards after E20 interest.
The Irons may have their ears piqued to making a deal happen after the forward departed the Black Cats' training camp.
That was confirmed by Regis Le Bris on Saturday as he revealed: "Wilson has had a personal issue, not a major one at this stage but he had to come back to England. He will join the team early next week."
West Ham will respect his personal life, but could also have the perfect time to strike on a deal with the Haitian back in England this summer.
How much could West Ham pay for Isidor?
With the Mackems looking ahead to a campaign in the Europa League, they will need as much squad depth as possible.
That could see them hold out for sizable fees to even think about selling their players.
Sunderland are actually willing to sell Isidor, as covered by West Ham Zone, but want £20million to part ways with the striker.
That has been reported by Alan Nixon on Sunday as the Black Cats eye other deals within their squad.
With the north east club seemingly willing to do business and the striker back in England, it could be the perfect time for the Irons to strike.
