West Ham finally get good news as update emerges on deal for player Xabi Alonso massively rates
Nuno Espirito Santo is desperately looking to add quality to the underperforming West Ham squad.
Following West Ham’s 2-0 loss to Brentford on Monday, it’s clearer than ever that Nuno doesn’t have faith in any of his strikers.
Callum Wilson could leave West Ham, while Niclas Fullkrug continues to be riddled with fitness issues.
David Sullivan has stated that players will need to be offloaded before anyone can be bought during the January transfer window, yet West Ham have been linked with a promising young striker who is loved by Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso.

West Ham interested in Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia
West Ham are among the favourites to be relegated, and they are in desperate need of a goalscorer who can fire them up the table.
Milanlive reported on Tuesday that West Ham are one of the frontrunners to sign Real Madrid’s 21-year-old striker Gonzalo Garcia on loan in January.
The Spaniard is also wanted by AC Milan, Fulham, Aston Villa, Villarreal and Valencia, and a deal to sign the young forward will be incredibly tough, but the fact West Ham are potentially at the front of the queue is encouraging.
Garcia excelled at the Club World Cup for Real Madrid, starting over Kylian Mbappe in most of their games.

Following Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over RB Salzburg in the Club World Cup on 27 June, Alonso praised the young talent.
He told reporters: “I had no doubts about Gonzalo. What he’s doing isn’t a surprise. He’s done it many times at Castilla. At least for him.
“He’s the typical number nine, who knows how to wait for his opportunity, who moves well. I’m very happy for him. He has Raul qualities in his movements. There are no decisions regarding the start of next season.”
Garcia is highly thought of by Alonso and Madrid, but he is in need of playing time elsewhere.
Nuno’s decision to play Paqueta up front against Brentford shows how desperately West Ham need an out-and-out striker, and Garcia fits the profile that he’s looking for.

It’s safe to say that West Ham have awful striking options, yet under the stewardship of Sullivan, this is not an anomaly.
West Ham must get next striker right after long history of failed transfers
West Ham have signed the likes of Gianluca Scamacca, Simone Zaza and Sebastian Haller in recent years, with all three failing to impress up front – not to mention the countless other flops.
Michail Antonio has been the only successful number nine in the club’s recent history, yet he wasn’t signed for anywhere near that kind of money.
If it weren’t for Jarrod Bowen’s incredible output over the past few seasons, West Ham’s appalling recruitment of unproven strikers would have been made much clearer, and it’s been a consistent issue over the last decade that hasn’t been addressed.
With Fullkrug and Wilson now falling into that category, signing a young, hungry striker like Garcia -even on loan – should be the route to go down.
